About the Project: One of our most enjoyable projects to date, our clients Jane and Simon initially contacted us for just a new patio. A year later they had planned an extension to the house and decided to allow us to help redesign a new scheme.

The garden is quite a long space and the existing summer house and decking was being removed so to keep the rear end of the garden inviting, we moved the Koi pond from the middle of the garden and constructed a bespoke feature pond at the rear of the garden with a seating area in front to encourage use of all ends of the garden.

A large low-maintenance patio was installed to the rear of the new extension creating an outdoor living space. New retaining walls were constructed and clad with a Quartz stone to link with the Graphite and Grey Granite pathway which led to a Composite Decking area for dining in front of the pond.

A ‘beach’ area was formed to the side of the pond where sun loungers could be placed and create a quiet area of the garden which would have the background noise of the waterfall.

The Koi pond was constructed using the same materials as the patio and walling to which we added a horizontal LED strip light directly beneath the stainless steel water blade. To finish off the WOW factor the glass viewing window was installed to the front so the fish could be observed from the decked seating area.

New lawn and planting was designed and installed throughout.
